Assistant Accountant / Hertford / £30,000 - £40,000 (dependant on experience)

Role

Working in partnership with the Finance Manager you will support all elements of the month-end close and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant include:

Support the production of monthly management accounts, tax returns and other regulatory financial requirements.
Maintain the purchase, sales and general ledger.
Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure all reporting requirements are met.
Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
Continuously improve processes throughout the ledgers.
Ensure Balance Sheet Reconciliations are preformed and appropriate controls in place.

Profile

Our client is open to candidates from different walks of life including (AAT, ACCA, CIMA). They are open to offering training contracts for further development.
Strong experience across all purchase, sales and the general ledger.
High attention to detail.
Able to work within tight deadlines.
