As Head of Science, you will:

• Lead and manage the Science Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

• Develop and implement a broad and engaging curriculum in line with national standards.

• Inspire and motivate both students and staff to achieve academic excellence.

• Oversee the delivery of Biology or Chemistry, ensuring lessons are engaging and innovative.

• Promote a culture of continuous professional development and education and training within the department.

• Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies for improvement where necessary.

• Work collaboratively with senior leadership to drive whole-school initiatives.

• A qualified teacher with QTS and a strong background in Biology or Chemistry.

• Proven leadership experience, either as a Head of Science or in a middle management role.

• A passion for science and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.

• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.

• A commitment to high standards in education and training.

• A strategic thinker with a vision for the future of science education.
