Pastoral Support Worker - Immediate Start in Hertford

Are you a dedicated and empathetic individual with a passion for supporting students' well-being? We have an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Support Worker to join our team in Hertford. This role involves overseeing the Reflection Room, handling student withdrawals, conducting interventions, and providing valuable pastoral support for Heads of Year.

Position: Pastoral Support WorkerLocation: Hertford - Start Date: ASAP

Role Responsibilities:

  • Reflection Room Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Reflection Room, providing a supportive environment for students.

  • Student Withdrawals: Facilitate and manage the withdrawal process for students, ensuring a smooth transition.

  • Interventions: Implement targeted interventions to support students facing challenges, fostering positive outcomes.

  • Pastoral Support: Collaborate with Heads of Year to provide effective pastoral care, addressing the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a pastoral support role within an educational setting is highly desirable.

  • Empathy: Demonstrate a compassionate and understanding approach in supporting students.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with students, staff, and parents effectively.

  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain a structured approach to the role.
