We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation in Hertfordshire. This is a hybrid/remote role, but some flexibility will be needed for meetings and also for community events. As the Member Community Engagement Officer, you would be responsible for driving impactful engagement with members, fostering a sense of community and enhancing member satisfaction and retention. You will support the development and implementation of member engagement strategies, coordinate outreach efforts, provide support for member events and work collaboratively to drive growth and retention. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community building, a proactive approach, and strong interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities Member Engagement Strategy Support
  • Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans to increase member engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance member experience through programs, content, and activities.
  • Monitor and report on the success of engagement initiatives to inform and adjust strategies.
Member Community Outreach and Engagement
  • Develop and execute outreach initiatives to strengthen relationships with current and potential members.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for member inquiries, concerns and feedback.
  • Actively participate in community forums, social media and other platforms to maintain visibility and engagement.
Member Event Support
  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of member community events, special interest groups and networking opportunities that cater to the needs and interests of members.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote events and gather post-event feedback to measure impact and areas for improvement.
Member Growth & Retention
  • Implement tactics to support member acquisition and retention goals.
  • Support initiatives aimed at onboarding new members and increasing member satisfaction.
  • Identify at-risk members and develop engagement plans to address potential churn.
Member Support
  • Provide timely responses to member inquiries, offering guidance and support across a variety of channels.
  • Document and escalate member issues as needed to ensure they are resolved effectively.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate member records and databases to support tracking and reporting efforts.
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in community engagement, member relations, or a related role.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Passion for community building and supporting member needs
