This role offers the chance to oversee and deliver high-quality design outputs for a range of exciting projects in the UK and internationally.As the Design Manager, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage resources, and ensure that design deliverables meet technical, budgetary, and timeline requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong leadership skills and design management experience to make a significant impact in a forward-thinking business.  Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of project designs, ensuring alignment with technical, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
  • Develop and manage design programmes and budgets.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed design packages, from initial concepts to final documentation.
  • Coordinate input from civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines across in-house and subcontract teams.
  • Chair internal and external design reviews, ensuring spatial and functional coordination.
  • Liaise with clients, site teams, and regulatory authorities to address project requirements and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for project design deliverables.
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in design management within a construction or engineering-related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary inputs and deliverables.
  • Chartered Engineer status is desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
