Consortium are pleased to be partnering with an international logistics provider, who are looking for a 3rd Party Logistics Coordinator to support the team with suppliers and drivers. Planning experience is not essential, however experience within a transport/logistics environment is crucial.  The Role: The successful Tank Coordinator will be responsible for:
  • Processing customer orders and maintaining consistent, timely communication with customers.
  • Coordinating closely with suppliers to arrange the necessary transportation for order execution.
  • Ensuring efficient turnaround of tanks to optimise their utilisation.
  • Monitoring and planning UK tank driver schedules to maximise earnings potential.
  • Upholding service levels to meet customer expectations.
  • Managing equipment usage in alignment with specific customer, product, and operational needs.
  • Facilitating smooth onboarding and integration of new business.
  • Managing the recharge of any additional costs.
  • Coordinating tank cleaning, repairs, and maintenance services.
Successful candidates will have:
  • Prior experience in tank planning.
  • A background in customer-facing roles.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Clear, effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with team members, drivers, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities to identify issues, recommend solutions, and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to seamlessly shift between customer service and operational responsibilities.
