Consortium Professional Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client in their search for a Junior QA Inspector. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work with fabricators and suppliers to ensure the highest quality standards in quality assurance processes across a variety of operations.As a Junior QA Inspector, you will be responsible for managing quality assurance procedures, conducting detailed inspections, and collaborating closely with internal teams to drive continuous improvement. You will also play a key role in corrective action initiatives and root-cause analysis to enhance quality standards across the supply chain.This is a permanent position with UK-wide and international travel requirements, offering flexibility and variety in the work environment.This role is ideal for professionals within the manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, oil & gas, and industrial fabrication sectors, particularly those with expertise in welding procedures, fabrication standards, and compliance auditing.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with fabricators to ensure compliance with quality, engineering drawings, and welding conformance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing on components, assemblies, and large-scale projects.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and welding symbols.
  • Assist in the creation and improvement of QA/QC documentation, including control plans, checklists, and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams and stakeholders to promptly address quality concerns and implement solutions.
  • Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to welding and fabrication standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and oversee corrective action implementation.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, compiling reports and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide expertise on welding procedures, material selection, and repair methods.
  Key Requirements:
  • Knowledge of ASME.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication.
  • Experience in welding procedures.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret welding symbols.
  • Experience providing leadership and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with teams across different locations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial.
  • Flexibility for UK and international travel.
