Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a leading engineering firm who have recently secured large contracts within their niche. This is an exciting time for the business who are looking to add to technical teams across various disciplines.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for technical project ownership, with an emphasis on accurate and timely client delivery. This position will allow candidates to take ownership of individual workflows and allow autonomy whilst delivering for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Helping design innovative systems from first principles, from concept through to detailed design, while maintaining technical excellence.
  • Supporting on schedule delivery by effective management of your project deliverables.
  • Managing supplier progress, holding regular meetings and in-person support.
  • Preparing technical documentation & design calculations for peer review, and checking third party documentation.
  • Preparing for and carrying out testing, commissioning and mobilisation activities.
  • Liaising with other business functions, including finance and HSSEQ, for support and guidance.
  • Supporting your teammates by sharing your knowledge and insights in working groups and presentations, where applicable.

About you:

  • A degree-level qualification, or equivalent, in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
  • The ability to work with Autodesk Inventor software.
  • Proficiency in hand calculations, through to Staad and FEA.
