Credit Risk Strategy Specialist

London (Hybrid)

Up to £80K!

Our Client is looking for a Credit Risk Strategy Specialist to join the team and assist in analysing and delivering credit risk acquisition strategies, from initial idea to implementation, as well as managing controls and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Leading in developing credit risk underwriting strategies that align with company objectives and regulatory requirements, ensuring positive customer outcomes.
  • Monitoring and Identifying Opportunities: proactively monitoring and assessing credit quality, identifying key insights and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Governance and control: Ensuring all processes, incident management, and strategic implementations are carried out in a controlled manner and meet the audit standards.
  • Credit Forecasting: Developing charge-off curves to support budgets as well as performance and score-cut reviews.
  • Stakeholder management: Maintaining positive relationships with internal partners to ensure an effective feedback loop and execution of strategies and controls.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: a minimum of 2 years' experience in credit card strategies or highly analytical roles within the UK financial service industry.
  • Experience: Knowledge of unsecured lending, preferably from work experience.
  • Problem Solving: A strategic problem solver; highly intellectual with commercial competence. A logical and methodical thought process
  • Coding: Proficiency in SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience: a working knowledge of implementing and maintaining policies and controls.
  • Independent: Ability to work unsupervised with a high level of self-motivation to the highest standard within agreed timelines.
