The School and Role

This SEND School, based in Hexham are looking to appoint a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in Key Stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this SEND School as part of an established team, the desired SEN Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Learning Disabilities, Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) and Associated Behavioural Difficulties. This full time SEN Teaching Assistant role is long term from September ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements

The desired SEN Teaching Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children

-          Experience of working with pupils with SEND

-          A passion for the progress of SEND primary school pupils

-          An ability to work as part of a team
