Accounts Assistant
Based: Heywood (flexible working hours, 1 day WFH)
Salary: up to £30k dependent on experience + bonus + great benefits including enhanced pension, AAT study support (if required)
I am working with a fantastic business based in Heywood looking to add an additional member to their finance team due to growth. The business are an SME sitting as part of a wider group and can offer excellent exposure and responsibility
Having placed the Finance Director & Management Accountant, we know them well - they have an excellent culture and chance for someone to join a really excellent team and business
Role:
- Assisting Management Accountant with month end tasks as required
- Bank reconciliations, processing bank payments in various currencies
- Assisting with any projects within finance and any ad hoc requests from the FD
- Ownership of transactional duties including credit control and payroll processes
- Submitting payroll to payroll company including all reporting and consolidation of data across pay, bonus, shift patterns
- Credit control duties engaging with customers to manage accounts receivable ledger
- Assisting with cashflow reporting
- Liaising with members of the wider business to resolve discrepancies in any areas of finance
- Matching unallocated cash, maintaining clean debtors ledger and posting debit notes
- Sales ledger reporting, reviewing customer credit limits
Experience:
- You must have AT LEAST 2 years experience in a finance role
- Either studying AAT L2/L3 OR experienced with no AAT
- Able to use initiative and communicate effectively with all levels
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot issues and resolve
- A team player who is keen to help with duties outside of your job spec when required
