Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision in Heywood. This specialist setting provides a tailored learning environment for pupils aged 11 to 17 who have struggled in mainstream or SEN schools and thrive in smaller, more focused settings. This is a permanent position with the opportunity to secure a school contract for the right Teaching Assistant.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting small groups of up to six pupils with diverse and complex needs
- Working as a teaching assstant alongside teachers and other support staff to provide a nurturing learning environment
- Helping students re-engage with education in a setting designed to support their social and emotional well-being
- Adapting learning strategies to meet individual needs in a calm and structured environment
- Encouraging independence and building confidence in young learners
- Supporting students' emotional and behavioural development in a way that is sensitive to their individual challenges
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
