We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician to join us in Heywood working within a small team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians, building electrical appliances from wiring diagrams.

Your Role

As the Electrical Technician, you will be part of a team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians, building electrical appliances from wiring diagrams and maintaining the applicable standard operating procedures and for the upkeep of all electrical test records.

Specifically, you will:

  • You will be hands-on, working within a small team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians, building electrical appliances from wiring diagrams.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining the applicable standard operating procedures and for the upkeep of all electrical test records.
  • You will ideally have experience of working as part of a production electricians team, and have good quality workmanship that upholds company standards, complies with wiring designs and follows safety requirements.
  • You will have extensive experience of working with drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams to identify appropriate materials, sequence of operations and build electrical sub-assemblies

About You:

To join us, you will need:

  • Ideally be qualified to 18th edition and have a working knowledge of IEE regulations
  • Ideally have City & Guilds 2360, 2382 and 2391 qualifications
  • Knowledge of the following regulations: BS EN 60204, BS EN 61010, BS EN 60079
  • Have significant experience and working knowledge of electrical systems, be able to fault-find, and carry out system diagnostics and risk assessments
  • Be self-motivated with a results driven approach
  • Have good problem-solving skills, always seeking to improve performance
