Rochdale Councils Managed Property Services (MPS) are looking for a Qualified Skilled Electrician to join our reactive and planned maintenance team. This role involves providing high-quality building maintenance services to the customers of Rochdale Borough Council. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high regard for customer care, workmanship, efficiency, and compliance with customer and contract requirements. This is a full time temporary role for the next 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
Day-to-day of the role:- Carry out various electrical installations and repairs within set timescales.
- Ensure all electrical works, including installation, repairs, diagnostic fault finding, and testing, are performed properly and in accordance with required standards and legislation.
- Undertake Electrical Installation Condition Reports on a variety of premises to ensure statutory compliance, using electronic software to produce relevant certification.
- Service and repair various mechanical installations, such as fan convectors and heating systems.
- Test and repair emergency lighting systems on both conventional and addressable systems.
- Work on green technologies and renewable energy sources.
- Engage in continual professional development.
- Perform reactive and planned works throughout the Borough of Rochdale in both domestic and commercial settings.
- Occasionally work in potentially higher-risk environments and properties.
- Collaborate with the MPS team leaders to ensure a high-quality service is consistently provided.
- Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds Electrical Theory Parts 1 & 2, NVQ L3, City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, or equivalent).
- Extensive work experience across the trade.
