Are you passionate about working with young children? Do you have the skills to make a real difference in a child's early learning journey? Here at Prospero Teaching we are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Role)
Location: Middleton
Start Date: 18/11/2024

Salary: 95 - 115 per day depending on experience



About the Role:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a child to support their individual learning and development needs. You will assist with daily classroom activities, encourage positive social interaction, and support the child's emotional and physical well-being. You'll help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where the child can thrive and reach their full potential.

SEN experience is desirable but not essential.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a child EYFS.
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring that the child's needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement learning plans.
  • Support social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
  • Observe and report on the child's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents.


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young children, ideally in an EYFS setting or 1:1 role.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a genuine desire to help children learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
  • The ability to work as part of a team while also using your initiative.
  • A proactive attitude, flexible approach, and strong organisational skills.
  • Ideally, Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant Qualification, but not essential.
