The work is predominantly in the North West; Manchester, Liverpool areas mainly with occasional work nationally.
As Field Service Engineer you will be working with a wide range of pump systems with the following responsibilities:
- Fault finding, servicing and repairing
- Completing installations for newly commissioned equipment
- Servicing of cold water booster sets and pumping stations is typical
- Attending large apartment blocks with water leaks, blocked foul drains etc.
- Make repairs to pumps and pipework, replacing faulty electrical components and controllers
Familiarity with at least two of the below systems is required:
- Cold water booster systems
- Submersible pumps
- End suction pumps
- Specialist pumps
- Motor/pump control systems
- Level control and other sensing equipment
- Various pipe work and valve systems Especially Ductile Iron, Copper, and Polyethylene (HDPE & MDPE)
- Rain Water Harvesting Systems
- Borehole pump systems
- Septic tanks & Water treatment systems
- Grease traps & Interceptors
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Static Maintenance Engineer is required
- Basic level electrical qualification good understanding of basic electrical theory and be able to demonstrate safe isolation procedure
- Basic level of mechanical theory and practical ability i.e. Hands on with various hand and power tools.
- Basic IT skills with familiarity using a tablet and competence in working with digital controllers
- Full UK Driving License with no points
- Must be comfortable with a DBS Check be carried out
