We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for a family-run engineering business in Heywood, offering a permanent position with a salary range of £32,000 to £36,000 per year.
This role involves working 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime that could increase earnings up to £50,000 annually.
Candidates must have previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Static Maintenance Engineer, along with a basic level electrical qualification and mechanical skills.
The position requires familiarity with various pump systems and the ability to perform tasks such as fault finding, servicing, and installations.
A full UK driving license and a willingness to undergo a DBS check are also necessary for this role.

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a family run engineering business based in Heywood. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week (8am-4.30pm) with regular overtime paid a favourable rates, and a basic salary of £32-36,000 per annum plus company vehicle and mobile. With call out and overtime rates potential to earn up to £50k per annum.The work is predominantly in the North West; Manchester, Liverpool areas mainly with occasional work nationally.As Field Service Engineer you will be working with a wide range of pump systems with the following responsibilities:

Fault finding, servicing and repairing
Completing installations for newly commissioned equipment
Servicing of cold water booster sets and pumping stations is typical
Attending large apartment blocks with water leaks, blocked foul drains etc.
Make repairs to pumps and pipework, replacing faulty electrical components and controllers

Familiarity with at least two of the below systems is required:

Cold water booster systems
Submersible pumps
End suction pumps
Specialist pumps
Motor/pump control systems
Level control and other sensing equipment
Various pipe work and valve systems – Especially Ductile Iron, Copper, and Polyethylene (HDPE & MDPE)
Rain Water Harvesting Systems
Borehole pump systems
Septic tanks & Water treatment systems
Grease traps & Interceptors

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Static Maintenance Engineer is required
Basic level electrical qualification – good understanding of basic electrical theory and be able to demonstrate safe isolation procedure
Basic level of mechanical theory and practical ability – i.e. Hands on with various hand and power tools.
Basic IT skills with familiarity using a tablet and competence in working with digital controllers
Full UK Driving License with no points
Must be comfortable with a DBS Check be carried out
