Warehouse Operative - Technology Repair and Refurbishment

Location: HeywoodCompany & RoleOur client, based in Heywood, is a fast-growing supplier of refurbished and used IT equipment.They are seeking an experienced IT Tester to work as part of the testing team within the Operations Department.As the IT Tester, you will be responsible for breaking down equipment, data wipes, and testing units and parts for resale.As the IT Tester, your duties will be:Booking in IT equipmentWiping dataConducting minor repairsTesting of equipmentAssist in warehousing and stock count duties as and when required.As the IT Tester, you will have the following skills/experience:Have a strong interest in IT technology/equipment.Knowledge of computer hardwarePrevious experience of PC parts testing would be desirable.Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.Other tasks include:* Order Picking: Efficiently and accurately picking computers and laptops as per customer orders.* General Warehouse Tasks: Engaging in day-to-day warehouse activities such as stock management, packaging, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.* Testing and Refurbishing Computers: Conducting quality checks, testing, and refurbishing electronic devices to meet our client's high standards.* Loading and Unloading: Handling the loading and unloading of palletised goods with care and precision.* Other Associated Warehouse Duties: Assisting with other tasks as needed to ensure the warehouse's overall efficiency.Requirements: To excel in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:* Excellent English Language Skills: Proficiency in both verbal and written communication is essential.* Efficiency in Fast-Paced Environments: The ability to work quickly and meet targets within a fast-paced warehouse setting.* Prior Electronics Industry Experience: While not essential, prior experience in the electronics industry is a significant advantage.* IT Literacy: Proficiency in warehouse management systems and basic computer skills.* Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working in a warehouse is required.* Strong Literacy and Numeracy Skills: The capacity to accurately handle written and numerical information.* Team Player: The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.* Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy is crucial to ensure the quality of refurbished equipment.The working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
