Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 per annum
Location: Isle of Grain, Kent (40-hour week, 2 to 3 days on-site)
Travel/Accommodation Expenses: Covered

Requirements:

  • Post-contract delivery experience in major projects, ideally >£250 million in value.
  • Solid experience delivering projects while holding a contract management role.
  • Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contracts, design and build, or lump sum contracts.
  • Familiarity with contract frameworks (such as NEC preferred, IChemE or FIDIC).
  • Willingness to attend site as required.
  • Medium-level security check will be needed for the successful candidate (2 to 3-week process).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee progress meetings: monitoring the project's pace, addressing risks, and controlling project changes.
  • Manage and review payment certifications, drafting contracts, and preparing correspondence on behalf of the project manager.
  • Handle change and risk management, advising different project teams (e.g., health & safety, environmental, PMO, project managers) on contractual matters.
  • Commercial settlements: negotiate with contractors, draft formal settlement documents, and mitigate project delays, ensuring cost control in situations where cash flow may be at risk.
