Interim Technical Project Manager

£550-600 per day plus expenses outside IR35

Location - this is our office location - exact location of role will be discussed with the Novus Team.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced technical manager who enjoys being at the heart of the factory, involved and working with the teams in each department. A large part of the role will be to drive improvements both in process and standards as well as managing some projects along the way. If you know you are a confident operator and good communicator this is the ideal role. This is a large, busy factory and you will need to be a strong multi-tasker.

The standout 'must haves' for this role is previous experience in food manufacture for retail. Knowing food retailer standards is an essential for this job. The need to drive improvements and raise standards is immediate and needs a confident communicator who is visible and has a tangible presence.

What you need to have in our background already:

  • Technical management experience in chilled food manufacturing and processing.
  • Detailed understanding of retail audit compliance and BRC.
  • Leadership experience - developing teams, working in the factory with teams.
  • Strong track record in food safety and compliance.
  • Solid experience in manufacturing and communicating in busy environments where reprioritising comes as second nature.
  • Confident in ensuring high standards are met by everyone in the factory, able to discuss and manage face to face discussions in a positive and clear way.
  • Being proactive so you are planning ahead but also able to react when needed.
  • Always striving for the highest standards and embedding those standards in everything you do.

AS mentioned above, this is a big food factory and the challenge needs someone with food manufacturing experience who is comfortable being on the shop floor and being part of that busy, ever changing and challenging environment.
