SEN Teaching Assistant | High Peak SK12 | £100-£110 | Long Term to Permanent | Immediate Start

Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs school in High Peak. The successful candidate will support children with special educational needs (SEN) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

About the Role:As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to students within a specialist setting. You'll work with both verbal and non-verbal autistic learners, helping them to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering bespoke support to students with a range of needs, both within the classroom and in smaller, focused settings.
  • Assisting students in understanding and following the teacher's instructions.
  • Working one-on-one or in small groups to provide additional learning support.
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress to help track developmental milestones.

Key Experience:

  • Previous experience in a teaching or teaching assistant role.
  • Experience working with SEN children, particularly those with ADD/ADHD or Autism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support the individual needs of students.
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.

To Be Eligible for This Role, You Must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new one.
  • Provide two professional references related to working with children, covering the last two years.
