Excellent opportunity for an experienced Steel Erector / Fabricator to join a well-established company based near Manchester
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000, Depending on Experience
Location: New Mills, SK22 - Site based 90% of the time
About The Company
They are a leading independent company that provide steel fabrication and engineering services through many sectors in the UK. Currently working on a large-scale site in Bristol, with other sites planned for next year.
Principal Accountabilities:
· Experience in large scale assembly environments and building of special purpose equipment- Must be able to read and interpret drawings
- To receive technical instructions and information (verbal, written and drawings)
- Erect metalwork products according to specification and timescale, using hand and powered tools. The use of access equipment will be a requirement
- To complete records and documentation
- To keep working environment clean and minimise waste of materials and resources
- To work safely and efficiently
- Must hold CSCS card & full UK driving licence
- External away working will be required
- Other duties as required by the business needs
Candidate Requirements:
- 3 years minimum experience gained in a similar industry
- MMA, MIG and TIG welding
- Slinger signaller certs for crane lifting operations - advantageous
- Telescopic forklift certs - advantageous
- IPAF / MEWP certs - advantageous
- Must be physically fit
