Role: Financial ControllerLocation: High WycombeSalary: £40-50kWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller, responsible for overseeing the financial operations and systems within our organisation.This role combines elements of finance, technology, and management to ensure the efficient and effective use of financial resources and technology systems to support the business goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management;o Developing and implementing financial strategies and policies.o Budgeting and forecasting financial performance.o Managing cashflow, financial transactions, and accounts payable/receivable.o Ensuring compliance and financial regulations and reporting requirements. o Analysing financial data to make informed business decisions.Systems Management;o Evaluating and implementing financial and business software and systems.o Managing and maintaining financial databases and software applications.o Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the finance systems.o Collaborating with IT teams to ensure system security and data integrity.Process Improvement;o Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial and business efficiency.o Streamlining financial workflows and automating repetitive tasks.o Conducting system and process audits to identify areas for improvement.Reporting and Analysis;o Generating financial reports and analysis to support decision making.o Providing insights into the financial performance and trends.o Presenting financial information to key stakeholders.Team Leadership;o Leading and managing a team of finance and system professionals.o Providing guidance and training team members.o Ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the department.Risk Management;o Assessing and mitigating financial and operational risks.o Implementing controls to safeguard financial assets and data.o Ensuring disaster recovery and business continuity plans for financial systems.Compliance and Audit;o Coordinating financial audits.o Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Strategic Planning;o Participating in strategic planning processes to align financial and systems strategies with the organisation's goals.Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills:* Strong leadership skills* Proven working experience as a Management Accountant* 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience* Team management* Experience with general ledger functions and month end close process* Excellent accounting software and administration skills* Knowledge of accounting principles and skills* Excellent written and communication skills* Strong attention to detail* Minimum ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalentIf you feel the above specification matches your professional background, click apply.
