Financial Systems & Reports Analyst

Location: High Wycombe, UK

Our client is a global technology organisation seeking a Financial Systems & Reports Analyst to join our Finance and IT leadership team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting our business by utilising financial and non-financial data to drive business insights and decision-making.

Role Summary:

As a Financial Systems & Reports Analyst, you will bridge the gap between finance, business systems, and commercial analysis. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work closely with senior management and other departments, helping them understand the business through data and presenting that information in creative, impactful ways.

You'll be a key contact for various systems, including Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Jet Reports, Excel, Power BI, SugarCRM, and SQL, working to maximise the effectiveness of data and enhance management reporting. This is a hands-on role in a small, dynamic, private equity-owned organisation where your contributions will be visible at the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems:

  • Serve as the lead contact for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Jet Reports, Power BI, and SugarCRM.
  • Design, create, share, and maintain financial and non-financial reports and dashboards.
  • Support department managers in generating service, help desk, and delivery reports.
  • Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure Manager on systems-related matters as needed.

Financial:

  • Assist in maintaining financial reports and analysis (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cashflows) using Jet Reports.
  • Prepare monthly KPI reports and financial models, including quote models, pricing analysis, and inventory forecasting.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis (Budget vs. Prior Year) and support business-wide financial analysis.

Key Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Qualified, Part-Qualified, or QBE Accountant with a strong background in financial performance analysis.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Analysis/Planning.
  • Commercial focus with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel expertise and experience with Jet Reports and Microsoft Dynamics NAV (or other ERP systems).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Confidence in engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience as an ERP system super user.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and SQL.
  • Experience with system or software implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with Excel macros.

Work Environment:

This role is based in the High Wycombe office (4 days per week). You must live within commuting distance and have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
