Orka Financial is working with a growing Private Equity backed business based near High Wycombe to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant position. This would be an ideal role and company for a candidate studying towards their ACA/ACCA or CIMA. The role itself is quite broad and would offer exposure across a range of finance duties including some more commercial work. Responsibilities:
- Assist with financial operations, including reporting, provisions, invoicing, accounts payable & receivable, cashflow control, stock control and fixed asset register
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness
- Take responsibility for the sign-off of monthly sales figures and various other monthly reports
- Take ownership of P&L overhead cost schedules including querying variances of actual costs to expectations
- Prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations
- Be the first line escalation point for sales ledger and purchase ledger
- Prepare the bi-annual sales submissions
- Assist with the year-end audit
- Wider finance team and ad hoc project support as required
Key Skills:
- Ability to prioritise and organise own work.
- Ability to set and work to deadlines.
- Good attention to detail.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified or equivalent.
- Experience of preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Knowledge of budget preparation.
- Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages, specifically of Excel.
Salary:
£35,000 - £40,000 + study support + benefits
