We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountants Assistant to join a finance team in the High Wycombe area. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, general ledger accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and ledger management. Experience with Sage 100 is highly desirable.
Day-to-day of the role:- Accounting Principles: Manage accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll, compliance, and invoicing processes.
- General Ledger: Perform general ledger accounting and financial reconciliations.
- Purchase & Sales Ledger: Oversee purchase and sales ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow management and reporting.
- Reporting & Budgeting: Assist with budget preparation.
- Accounting Standards: Ensure compliance with high accounting standards.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or worked within a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software, preferably Sage 100.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
