SALARY - 30,000 to 35,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in High Wycombe that is looking to hire a Design Engineer.

The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).

  • Experience in mechanical or product design within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD).

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and sheet metal design.

  • Ability to produce technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.

The Design Engineer role will involve:
  • Creating 3D models and technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.

  • Developing innovative design solutions to meet project requirements.

  • Collaborating with production and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible.

  • Conducting design reviews and making necessary modifications.

  • Producing documentation, including BOMs and technical specifications.

  • Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.

  • Supporting the continuous improvement of design processes.
