Your new companyA medium-sized business in High Wycombe requires a bookkeeper to support its accountant. This is a stand-alone role where, to begin with, you will be on site 5 days a week and then move to a hybrid model.Your new role
- Maintain accurate financial records using Sage accounting software.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Handle payroll processing and related tasks.
- Monitor and manage company budgets.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Perform general accounting duties as required.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Relevant certification or degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
