Howard Finley Care are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our clients kitchen at a reputable care home in High Wycombe. In this full-time, permanent position, you will have the rewarding role of preparing nutritious and delicious meals that make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of their residents. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook traditional meals suited to a diverse range of dietary needs and preferences, ensuring every dish meets the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure nutritional balance in menu planning, catering to any specific dietary requirements of residents.
  • Conduct regular audits of kitchen processes and maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory and place orders with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing waste.
  • Lead and inspire kitchen staff to deliver exceptional meals and support their development in a positive working environment.
About You

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Experience as a Head Chef or senior-level chef in a care home setting, or a strong background in hospitality with a willingness to adapt to care home standards.
  • A strong understanding of nutrition and the ability to plan menus that meet dietary requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience in audits, stock control, and ordering.
  • A genuine passion for cooking traditional, home-style meals with a commitment to quality and consistency.
