Position Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Head of Digital Learning to join a prestigious independent prep school in High Wycombe, dedicated to educating girls aged 3 to 13. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of a forward-thinking digital learning strategy, ensuring that technology enhances teaching and learning across all year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for digital learning that supports the school's educational goals.
  • Provide leadership in the integration of digital tools and resources into the curriculum.
  • Support and train staff in the effective use of educational technology in the classroom.
  • Ensure that all pupils have access to high-quality digital learning experiences that are age-appropriate and engaging.
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of digital platforms, devices, and software across the school.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and advancements in educational technology, recommending new tools and practices where appropriate.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to identify opportunities for digital learning across subjects.
  • Foster an environment that promotes digital literacy, coding, and responsible online behaviour among pupils.
  • Collaborate with IT support to ensure technical issues are swiftly addressed.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions for both staff and students to build confidence in the use of digital resources.

Person Specification:

  • A proven track record in a similar leadership role within a school setting, preferably with experience in a prep or primary school.
  • Passionate about digital learning and innovation in education.
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms, tools, and technologies relevant to young learners.
  • Experience in training and supporting teachers to integrate technology effectively into teaching.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and supportively to both staff and pupils.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualification, preferably in Education, IT, or a related field.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent experience in teaching with digital learning integration.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in EdTech or digital learning would be highly advantageous.
