An Ofsted-rated Outstanding school in High Wycombe is seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from April. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young people, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive in an educational setting.
The Role:- Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Implementing tailored interventions to support emotional well-being and academic progress
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals
- Managing challenging behavior using de-escalation techniques and a trauma-informed approach
- Experience in SEMH, youth work, outreach, residential care, or as a Teaching Assistant
- A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong behavior management skills
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
This is a full-time, permanent position starting in April.
