Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/Behvaiour mentor to join our team. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality education, foster a positive learning environment, and assist in the personal and academic development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring all students can access the curriculum effectively.

  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional support, including those with special educational needs (SEN).

  • Assist in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Support students during classroom activities, including literacy and numeracy interventions.

  • Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources.

  • Monitor and report student progress to teachers, contributing to student assessments and feedback.

  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting confidence and self-esteem.

  • Supervise students during break times, trips, or extracurricular activities as required.

  • Uphold school policies, including behavior management and safeguarding protocols.

  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to support student welfare and achievement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role (preferred but not essential).

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.

  • Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Proficiency in using IT tools for educational purposes (e.g., Microsoft Office, online learning platforms).
