Key Responsibilities of a Senior Mechanical Engineer:

• Develop cutting-edge designs for complex hydraulic and electrical systems, ensuring all technical and quality standards are met.
• Conduct detailed technical investigations, evaluate options, perform supporting calculations, and prepare comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
• Create technical drawings, general assembly diagrams, and bills of materials to support the engineering process.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment where they can thrive and grow.
• Analyse and communicate project risks and technical challenges, providing clear feedback to the Program Team.
• Support patent writing and ensure the overall system design complies with intrinsic safety and regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For in a Senior Mechanical Engineer:

• Advanced mechanical engineering skills, with a solid foundation in theoretical and analytical design principles.
• Experience leading engineering development tasks and influencing the work of other engineers.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidEdge experience is a plus, but not required).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical details to non-technical audiences.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven track record in developing and supporting high-tech products from concept through to delivery.
