Job Title: Field Electrician - (Temporary Power) Major Film StudiosLocation: Various film studios across the UKContract Type: Permanent Salary: £40,000 rising to £45,000 after probationAbout the Role:We are seeking skilled and dedicated Electricians to join my client's team, supporting major film studios across the UK (and sometimes Globally!). This role will involve working in dynamic, fast-paced environments to provide temporary power solutions for film and TV productions. If you have a passion for the entertainment industry and a high level of expertise in temporary power systems, we would love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:* Installing, testing, and maintaining temporary power systems and distribution equipment for film sets.* Working closely with the production and electrical departments to ensure safe and reliable power solutions.* Troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment under tight time constraints.* Adhering to all health and safety standards on set and ensuring a safe working environment.* Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth, efficient power operations throughout production.Qualifications and Experience:* Electrical Qualifications - Must be a qualified electrician, holding a current ECS card, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installations, and BS 7671 Wiring Regulations. Or hold AM2 Electrical Qualification.* Experience in Temporary Power Systems - Proven experience in setting up temporary power for large-scale productions, events, or similar environments is essential.* Knowledge of Film Industry Requirements - Prior experience working on film or TV sets is highly advantageous.* Problem-solving skills - Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues quickly and effectively.* Full, Clean UK Driving Licence - This role requires flexibility to travel to various studio locations across the UK.Skills and Attributes:* Adaptability: Able to respond to changing demands and work effectively in high-pressure environments.* Communication: Strong team player with excellent communication skills.* Safety-focused: An unwavering commitment to health and safety on all projects.* Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of power distribution systems, wiring practices, and safety protocols specific to temporary installations.Benefits:* £40,000 rising to £45,000 after probation. * Call out 1 in 12.
