Summary:

We are seeking an Environmental Advisor in the Berkshire region, with flexibility to consider candidates based in alternative locations and open to both full-time and part-time working arrangements. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious team, providing significant scope for career progression in the coming years.

In this role, you will support and assist in delivering project environmental objectives and targets. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the EIA and environmental management teams by conducting environmental planning reports, EIA (Environmental Impact Assessments), and environmental management studies and audits. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing environmental and sustainability issues.

Skills:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science, or Environmental Planning
  • Professional accreditation (CIWEM, IEMA, or RTPI)
  • Working knowledge of EIAs, environmental management studies, and audits
  • Proficiency in analysing and presenting data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • General knowledge of ecology, flood risk, town planning, or water resources
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Software/Tools:

  • GIS (Geographic Information Systems)

Certifications & Standards:

  • Accreditation by CIWEM, IEMA, or RTPI
