The Role

As a Client Manager, you will be responsible for managing client relationships and delivering financial services, including:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, from SMEs to larger businesses.
  • Leading accounts preparation, audits, and tax compliance.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for client queries and advice.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff, ensuring high standards and professional growth.
  • Managing deadlines to ensure timely and quality client work.
  • Providing advice on accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Identifying opportunities to add value through advisory services.
  • Contributing to the firm's strategic discussions and development.

About You

We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACCA or ICAEW) with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in general practice. You will have strong technical expertise in accounting, audit, and tax, and a proven record in managing client portfolios. Additional attributes include:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and team development.
  • Strong organisational abilities, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with Iris and Caseware (advantageous, but not essential).
  • A forward-thinking attitude, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with group consolidations and acquisitions (desirable but not essential).
  • A passion for continuous professional development and a commitment to building a career in practice.
