Our client, a highly successful organisation based in High Wycombe, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team.
They're ideally looking for a qualified accountant who is able to demonstrate an understanding of how a commercial business operates and what drives project success.
The role is full time, office based, and comes with a competitive salary and good benefits.
Duties include
- Monthly review meetings with key stakeholders to review and challenge variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including VAT, corporation tax
- Liaise with advisors and external auditors when required
- Seek improvements to the financial reporting system and processes
- Coordinate and prepare finance material for Board meetings
- Provide information to potential clients to secure new business
- Ownership of the cost centre and any cross-charges, within 2 Companies
- Production of Monthly Management Accounts and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Management of Purchase Ledger, overseeing Supplier Payments
- Sales Ledger and Debtor management
- Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly forecasting and budgeting
- Month end processes and ensuring financial controls are in place
- Sales and revenue analysis
- Preparing cash flow forecasts
- VAT Returns and bank reconciliations
- Preparing monthly salary information for payroll processing
- Preparing Year End Accounting files and liaising with external auditors
- Ensure that finance input to the business is welcomed, trusted and respected as adding value whilst maintaining financial discipline, and confidentiality.
Skills/Experience
- Qualified Accountant with good PQ experience (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Experience in SAGE and IT literate
- Demonstrable understanding of how a commercial business operates and what drives project success
- Adaptable and flexible to work in an evolving organisation
- Great communication skills
- High level of initiative and self-motivation
- Enjoy working with an amazing team
- Ability to look at problems and suggest solutions
