A major market leading business are looking for a Senior Manager Financial Reporting as part of a a significant financial transformation. This role is integral to the ongoing projects related to Lease accounting, IFRS16 and fixed asset management.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager Financial Reporting to lead and oversee the financial reporting and accounting aspects related to IFRS16 and fixed assets. This position will be crucial in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and the effective management of fair value adjustments to fixed assets and leasing under IFRS16. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statutory accounting, technical accounting expertise, and be a qualified accountant with a proven track record in similar roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IFRS16 Leasing: Manage and oversee the implementation and ongoing compliance with IFRS16, including lease accounting, right-of-use asset management, and lease liability calculations.
  • Fixed Assets: Handle fair value adjustments to fixed assets, ensuring accurate valuation and accounting in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports related to fixed assets and lease accounting, ensuring they comply with IFRS and statutory requirements.
  • Technical Accounting: Provide expert technical accounting guidance on complex issues related to IFRS16 and fixed asset management.
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate financial projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project milestones and objectives.
  • Statutory Accounting: Oversee statutory accounting processes, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including finance, audit, and external advisors, to support financial reporting and project goals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing financial reporting processes and controls, implementing best practices as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA) required.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in financial reporting and project management, with specific expertise in IFRS16 and fixed asset accounting. Proven experience in statutory accounting and handling fair value adjustments.
  • Skills: Strong technical accounting skills with a deep understanding of IFRS16 and fixed asset management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and systems, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
