We are looking for a skilled Assembly Operative to join our Crashworthy Seats Department. In this role, you will contribute to the assembly and preparation of seat systems that meet the highest quality standards, ensuring safety and reliability for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class engineering environment and develop your career in a meaningful and impactful industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and prepare crashworthy seats for testing and qualification.
  • Repair or modify customer seats to meet flightworthy standards.
  • Build detailed assemblies, including seat backrests and sitting platforms, using aerospace fasteners, adhesives, Velcro, and manual riveting techniques.
  • Perform bench fitting tasks, including installation of threaded inserts, locking pins, jig drilling, taper reaming, thread locking, crimping, and riveting.
  • Build "First Off" assemblies from drawings, identifying corrections and recommending improvements to methods, materials, or components.
  • Assist in the creation of build plans and support the Technical Publications Department.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in assembly processes, including riveting, gluing/bonding, and component fitting to defined torque values.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Good manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience (preferred).
