Are you an experienced Design and Technology (DT) Technician looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to students' learning in a dynamic school environment? We are seeking a skilled and proactive DT Technician to join a thriving school in High Wycombe.

About the Role

As a DT Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Design and Technology department. Your expertise will ensure the smooth running of practical lessons, the maintenance of equipment, and the safety of both staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons, including woodwork, metalwork, electronics, and textiles.
  • Provide technical support during practical sessions, assisting students and teachers as needed.
  • Maintain and repair tools, machinery, and equipment, ensuring they are safe and in good working condition.
  • Manage stock levels, order materials, and ensure the secure storage of tools and consumables.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and ensuring the safe use of machinery and equipment.
  • Support the development of new projects and resources for teaching.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a DT Technician, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of DT equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Familiarity with health and safety requirements in a workshop or practical learning environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
