Bennett and Game have partnered with a leading architectural glass, glazing, window and door specialist located in High Wycombe. They are currently looking to expand their commercial division, meaning there is a new opening for an ambitious Order Processor / Estimator to join their team. The company are well-established, with a healthy pipeline of projects lined up for the future. Including continuous training and development, they are offering a starting salary circa £25,000 and the chance to work on exciting projects across the UK.

Estimator Job Overview

  • Read the whole invitation document thoroughly including the specification, project particulars, drawings etc. to determine whether the quotation will be responded to; based on the agreed criteria.
  • Highlight anything in the specification that requires specific action or any additional information required by the architect in order to continue.
  • Schedule out all items to be priced; windows, doors, curtain wall etc.
  • Determine which system would be most suited to use for pricing the project to include all items that have been previously scheduled.
  • Carry out wind-load calculations for various items or checking maximum parameters of the proposed system to check that it will perform to the sizes required as needed.
  • Make notes throughout all of the above processes for inclusion within the quotation return letter. Contact any parties concerned to ensure that all contractors and/or clients are included in the quotation.
  • Upon successful return of the tender, diarise the critical dates to chase the client for a decision to determine whether we were successful and if not, to determine the reasons and shortfall.
  • Input, review and report effectively and thoroughly on the Sage CRM system.
  • Carry out any other duties that may be deemed necessary for the completion of the works by the company and/or the line manager.
