Position Overview:
The Sales Manager position at Wycombe Heights Golf Centre is a dynamic and leadership-driven role that involves actively engaging in sales activities, nurturing client relationships, and driving new business. The Sales Manager will be a key member of the leadership team, playing a pivotal role in shaping a positive working environment and contributing to the club’s overall success.
Hands-On Sales Leadership:
- Engage in direct sales activities including prospecting, making calls, and converting leads to business.
- Focus on building new business opportunities while nurturing existing relationships.
Achieving Sales Targets:
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets for events/functions, memberships, and the overall golf business.
- Be proactive in generating new business, working through the sales pipeline from lead generation to conversion.
- Build strong client relationships to convert prospects into loyal clients or members.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop a sales executive to meet KPIs and business objectives.
- Be a role model by leading from the front, demonstrating best practices in sales.
Sales Process & Communication:
- Ensure that all sales processes are fully understood by the team and executed consistently.
- Facilitate effective communication with the Heads of Departments, especially regarding club functions and golf day business.
- Increase the golf centre’s presence through active engagement on social media and within the community.
- Use strong business acumen and confident pricing strategies to maximize revenue potential.
About You:
- Previous experience of selling events and event space
- Proactive and able to demonstrate a proven record of delivering results
- Flexibility to work weekends and some evenings
- Be independently mobile and within a 30-minute drive time of Wycombe Heights
