Role Overview:We are seeking an HR Manager to support the smooth running of all aspects of HR and office operations for a leading Operations and Maintenance specialist in the utility-scale ground-mounted solar farms sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance & HR to ensure smooth HR and office operations.
  • Supervise the Office and Field Manager, including fleet management, asset availability, and IT support.
  • Maintain up-to-date staff details and training records; manage contract changes like promotions and pay rises.
  • Administer the PDR and Year-End Annual Leave processes.
  • Handle disciplinary, grievance, and competency processes with third-party HR support, ensuring compliance with employment law.
  • Regularly review staff compliance with company policies and address any issues.
  • Manage internal communications.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, and probation processes for new hires.
  • Assist with payroll preparation.
  • Improve and automate HR processes.
  • Coordinate role-appropriate training courses for staff.
  • Implement employee engagement and morale initiatives.
  • Ensure company adherence to employment law with HR support.
  • Work according to the company’s Integrated Management System to achieve Quality, H&S, and Environmental objectives.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, including the anti-bribery policy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or organisation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proactive with strong organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with a flexible mindset.
