Role:

As a Technical Specialist, the successful candidate will join a team of specialists where you will be able to bring your knowledge and experience to our already strong technical team.

Reporting to the IT Service Manager and the Head of Technical Delivery, you will be a key figure within our support desk. Your expertise will be crucial to supporting our clients with P1 and P2 issues where some of their infrastructures need to be operational 24x7. You will work closely with other Technical Specialists to support our clients to a high standard.

Key Skills:

  • Provide exceptional level of Technical Service to our customers at all times.
  • Ensure all tickets are worked on in priority order.
  • Making sure all support tickets are updated daily with communications out to customers in
  • line with the SLAs set on the ticket.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to talk to and guide non-technical customers and customers who may not have English as their first language.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers as part of projects that you are assigned to.
  • Deliver and front meetings with external stakeholders and be the face of BaseRock.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated with industry trends with the ability to deliver findings to BaseRock management.
  • Pro-active attitude towards Technical Support.
  • Professional manner when visiting customers with a can do attitude and willingness to help our customers.
  • Ability and willingness to ensure internal documentation is updated and that internal procedures are followed.
  • Strong attention to detail with a well-developed analytic approach to problem solving.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge in virtualised environments - Installation, creation, and management
  • (VMware vSphere, primarily ESXi and vCenter).
  • Expertise in Windows Server 2019 onwards.
  • Expertise in physical server hardware architecture (HPE ProLiant / Dell PowerEdge)
  • Experience using network Storage solutions - SAN / NAS (HPE SAN).
  • Strong knowledge within Microsoft environments (ADUC, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Certificate
  • Services).
  • Installing and managing Veeam backup solution.
  • Microsoft 365 administration (Intune, compliance, security, licensing)
  • Network awareness (Basic routing, subnetting, VLANs, Firewalls)
  • Knowledge of RMM solutions and associated management skills (N-able) including an

understanding of SNMP, MIBs and OIDs.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft productivity productions including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
