Job Role: Integration Test Verification and Acceptance Engineer
Location: High Wycombe
Hourly Rate: £55-65 per hour inside IR35
Contract Length: 6 months
A manufacturing business are seeking an Integration Test Verification and Acceptance Engineer to develop and execute test procedures for software based avionics equipment.
Their engineers are responsible for the delivery of tasks to support the design, development and verification of products. They will have opportunities to engage with our customers, supporting meetings, systems integration and product verification/validation trials. They will work under close guidance from project leads and subject matter experts, but are responsible to deliver their allocated tasks to meet project milestones.
The key responsibilities of the Integration Test Verification and Acceptance Engineer will be:
- Supporting Integration, Test, Verification, and Acceptance activities into the assigned programme.
- Assess and plan verification activities to demonstrate requirements have been satisfied
- Provide support to assist with progressive acceptance against internal and requirements
- Help write and/or review documents (Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Specs etc.) and contractual deliverables
- Plan, execute, and report, integration laboratory and 'live' trials activities to the satisfaction of the defined requirements and in accordance with the programme schedule
- Review the outputs from LRU level activities to support System Level Verification and Acceptance
- Support Network Accreditation and Qualification of the System
- Be responsible for assigned verification activities and the closure of any associated failures
- Populate Requirement and Test Management database to capture Verification evidence and Acceptance Cases in a pre-defined structure
- Report progress and blockers along with other internal stakeholders and occasionally external stakeholders
- Support and/or lead internal meetings, including preparation of documentation and review/presentation material
- Identify potential problems / issues and work to resolve, escalating as appropriate
The background required for this Integration Test Verification and Acceptance Engineer role is:
- Experience in supporting Integration, Test, Verification, and Acceptance activity in complex airborne, aerospace or defence projects
- Experience of relating Integration and Verification evidence to delivery and Acceptance of a system against hierarchical requirements
- Experience of requirements capture, traceability and verification
- Good understanding of complex system integration, validation, verification, qualification, acceptance in complex programmes and trials
