Bookings Administrator

We are looking for a Booking Administrator to join our languages team.

The Booking Administrator will be the first point of contact for clients seeking interpreting services and for the interpreters. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our day-to-day operations, including services to be booked, scheduling appointments, requesting interpreter/translator availability, confirming bookings, making amendments as required, and filling short-notice emergency bookings.

Key Duties:

  • Process bookings and inquiries efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Schedule appointments for interpreters
  • Answer the telephone and be the first point of contact for clients and interpreters
  • Provide and maintain excellent customer service
  • Manage interpreter/translator availability
  • Confirm bookings and make amendments as required
  • Fill short-notice emergency bookings
  • Perform filing and general office administration tasks

You Must:

  • Be a confident, self-motivated individual with a friendly and personable manner
  • Be able to multi-task under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks
  • Be a strong verbal and written communicator
  • Be confident speaking over the phone with clients and interpreters
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Be highly organised, accurate, and pay great attention to detail
  • Be able to work as part of a team, but also independently when required
  • Have a flexible and supportive attitude towards your job role and team members
