Responsibilities

  • Develop and design automation solutions, including robotic systems, for the production, test and assembly of aerospace components and structures.
  • Identify areas for automation within manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance product quality.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with automation systems, providing solutions for repair, reprogramming, or upgrading equipment.
  • Ensure requirement compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly regarding safety and quality control.
  • Support the NPI team on design for automation, optimising best method of manufacturing.
  • Develop an inspection strategy for vision and sensor inspection technology.
  • DFMA, tolerance, design optimisation and value engineering

Experience Required

  • Robot, external axes and PLC integration experience over 3 years.
  • Robot programming language at advanced level such as RAPID.
  • Programming language C++
  • Force control integration and programming experience.
  • Electrical wiring and robot circuit integration experience.
  • Problem Solving & Creativity
  • Managing Projects

Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Robot programming language such as RAPID
  • Experience working with Solidworks, TIA Portal and Robot Studio.
  • Robot studio and automation simulation.
