Packaged Sounds Group is a Vinyl manufacturing company with facilities in the UK and Poland. Our pressing plants manufacture Vinyl records, CD, Print and Packaging, as well as providing a complete distribution capability for our clients in the UK, EU and US markets. This is supported by an in-house project management team comprising studio engineers, graphic artists, vinyl technologists, print and packaging specialists and local account management and support staff in the UK, US, German and Austrian markets.

We are looking for a Plant Maintenance and Engineering Manager to oversee all aspects of the maintenance of plant and production equipment including industrial boilers, hydraulic systems, pressing lines, electrical systems, water heating and cooling systems in a boutique factory.

As well as routine and preventative maintenance the role will include the planning and installation of plant improvements to improve production outputs and to ensure the highest level of machine uptime is maintained.

This role will suit someone who has a strong all-round knowledge of industrial heating and cooling systems as well as mechanical and electrical systems maintenance and implementation experience.

Key skills / areas of experience required...

  • Exposure to industrial scale boilers, heating and cooling processes, hydraulic systems
  • General electrical, electronic and mechanical experience on an industrial site
  • Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, electronic, mechanical, production systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering diagrams
  • Ability to use a lathe to machine / repair precision components
  • General plant maintenance across all aspects of a factory site including compliance requirements
  • To maintain routine safety and compliance checks across all systems
  • To develop and implement a factory wide preventative maintenance plan
  • Liaise with equipment suppliers and partners on problem diagnostics and solutions
  • Maintain equipment toolsets and spare parts register
  • Train junior staff to adhere to and carry out routine maintenance and machine care programs
