Are you an experienced Domestic Gas Service & Repair Engineer looking for a stable, long-term role with excellent earning potential? My client is seeking skilled and dedicated engineers to carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on domestic gas systems across MOD (Ministry of Defence) sites. The Role:

As a Domestic Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out service, maintenance, and repairs on domestic gas appliances and heating systems within MOD properties.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults in boilers, heating systems, and related gas appliances.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with Gas Safe regulations, MOD compliance, and health & safety standards.
  • Providing excellent customer service to military personnel and MOD property occupants, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Participating in an on-call rota and working overtime when required, with additional pay for callouts.
  • Liaising with internal teams and contractors to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruption to occupants.

What We’re Looking For:

  • We are seeking highly skilled and reliable engineers with strong experience in servicing and repairing domestic gas systems. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer, ideally in social housing, MOD, or public sector contracts.
  • Up-to-date Gas Safe registration and the following qualifications:
  • CCN1- Core Domestic Gas Safety
  • CENWAT- Boilers & Water Heaters
  • CPA1- Combustion Performance Analysis
  • CKR1- Domestic Cookers
  • HTR1- Gas Fires & Wall Heaters
  • Experience working in high-security or regulated environments (MOD, prisons, hospitals, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills - ability to interact professionally with MOD personnel and property occupants.
  • Full UK driving licence - essential for travel between MOD sites.
  • Ability to pass security clearance checks due to working on MOD premises.
