Lighting Repair Technician

High Wycombe

Salary: £34,000 - £37,000

Working Hours: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday - Friday

About the Role:

As a Lighting Repair Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing entertainment lighting and video equipment. You will diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and perform component level repairs on a variety of lighting fixtures, consoles, and AV equipment.

Duties:
  • Service and repair entertainment lighting and audio visual equipment in the workshop.
  • Raise lists of spare parts and consumables required to the procurement team.
  • Diagnose issues and troubleshoot problems with moving lights, lighting consoles, and LED lighting fixtures.
  • Perform component level repair and soldering as needed.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in lighting technology.
  • Attend manufacturer training events.
  • Maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies.
Experience / Skills Required:
  • Experience within a service/repair role in entertainment lighting or a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of DMX, Artnet, moving lights, lighting consoles, and LED lighting fixtures.
  • Relevant degree or qualification in electronics would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience with crimping and soldering.
  • Component level repair experience would be highly beneficial.
